ND Business Administration and Management
This introduces the student to a range of studies which are useful in understanding people in the workplace. It analyzes the concept of management within the global business environment and through the appraisal of business cases, an assortment of approaches are viewed. The unit sets up students for their potential future roles as managers in organizations. It promotes them to synthesize knowledge and experience acquired in other units by considering competing perspectives on the nature of management. It promotes them to contemplate upon the contribution that they might make as individuals in the management procedure, and to explore their own skills as potential directors, within the setting of their peer group. The unit touches practical, moral and ethical dimensions of the management role and examines the central problems and dilemmas that may emerge for stakeholders in contemporary organizations.
